Surface-Reaction Chemistry Tutorials

These tutorials demonstrate how to set up, run, and post-process DINO simulations involving surface-reaction chemistry on a 2D particle. The workflow is divided into three steps:

  1. Setup: Configure the simulation, define the particle geometry, and specify the surface-reaction chemistry.
  2. Execution: Run the cold-flow and reactive simulations.
  3. Post-processing: Analyze and visualize the simulation results to investigate flow and surface-reaction processes.

Follow the tutorials in sequence to learn the complete workflow, from the initial configuration to the analysis of reactive simulation data.

  • Coldflow Simulation

Start with the non-reactive flow around a particle to analyze the flow that surrounds it.

  • Chemical Mechanism Preparation

Learn how to prepare a chemical mechanism that is able to treat surface- and gas-phase chemistry that takes place between the particle and the surrounding flow.

  • Reactive Simulations

Learn how to set up and run a reactive particle simulation to study surface-reaction chemistry and analyse the resulting data.
